Catching up
I have just spent a good morning on the net, reading friends blogs, catching up on their lives. On a social aspect, I am definitely a trawler. I hardly meet up with anyone, except for the usual gang. With everyone else, there is an inertia, almost reluctance to pick up the phone to arrange a meet. Obviously, the fact that for the past 6 weeks I have been working almost consistent overtime does not help matters.
It's not that I don't bother about my other friends. I do. I want to know what's happening in their lives. So everyday, whilst working to work, I am on my facebook account, reading updates. And when I can, I look at friends blogs (the ones that still do anyway). And yes, I still like going in, checking out the different writing styles, it really does give me a window into their lives. Even though I know I should be working now, I can't help but get distracted.
Did an MBTI test recently - and was typed as an INTJ - a very strong I actually. Initially I was quite surprised, but then, if you look at the questions, guess it's not all that surprising anyway. I hold my own when I am in a social gathering, but I need to be forced into it. I am consistently chatting in office, but I work best in solitude on Friday nights. I crave company on occasion after too many overseas trips, but only that of my usual gang. And my favourite past time? Reading - blogs, economist, books ... as long as it's written, I will be a sucker for it.
And for the record - Chrome is way way better than IE.
